Community Book Event

Book Event with Betsy Cornwell ’10
Wednesday, October 8th, 6:00-7:00pm
TidePool Bookshop (372 Chandler St Worcester MA)

Join local Smithies as we welcome Betsy Cornwell, Smith ’10 to Worcester! Betsy will be speaking about her debut memoir Ring of Salt: A Memoir of Finding Home and Hope on the Wild Coast of Ireland, which was published on September 30th. Join us at TidePool Bookshop on October 8, 2025, for what promises to be an evening of deep reflections on identity, motherhood, resilience, and the power of place.  More on the book here

Betsy, who draws on her own journey—from traversing hardship to creating “The Old Knitting Factory,” a safe, artist-centered space for single mothers in Connemara—has crafted a book that will resonate with anyone who cares about storytelling, healing, and community.

Whether you’re looking to reconnect with Smith’s legacy of fierce, compassionate storytelling, you simply love memoirs that carry you across oceans, or want to connect with our local club—you won’t want to miss this.
