April Book Club: Up Home: One Girl's Journey by Ruth Simmons

Join the BSCC Book Club in April as we explore the compelling, coming-of-age memoir, Up Home: One Girl's Journey written by past Smith College President, Ruth J. Simmons. 

We will be meeting at the Boston Public Library on the Mezzanine Level in Meeting Room #2. Whether you're a regular reader or just picking up this book to join us for the first time, RSVP now for a fun night of discussion with local Smithies. (The audiobook version is narrated by Ruth J. Beer Garden Hang Out
Come celebrate summer with us at the Owl’s Nest beer garden on the Esplanade! We’ll meet at 3pm (look for people in Smith gear!) and grab a beer (nonalcoholic options are available!) and some snacks. All are welcome!‍
August Book Club: The Latecomer
Join the BSCC Book Club in August to discuss The Latecomer - a “layered and immersive literary novel about three siblings, desperate to escape one another, and the upending of their family by the late arrival of a fourth.” 
Family Picnic
Come join the BSCC for an afternoon of a potluck-style picnic, lawn games, and an opportunity to rent kayaks for a paddle on the Charles. Families are very welcome and we will also be inviting incoming Smithies for the class of 2028 to welcome them into the community. Please bring a dish (or snack) to share!

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company is back for its 27th season with The Winter’s Tale. Free performances are at the Parkman Bandstand in Boston Common at 8PM. Join the BSCC to enjoy a show!
